put in place legislative measures that will curb the fast-food epidemic, specifically around college campuses.

Created by T.A. on April 24, 2012

I believe that the ubiquity and sheer abundance of fast-food restaurants that mainly provide cheap, nutritionally poor meal options has been a big contributor to the national obesity epidemic and the general health decline of this nation. This is especially visible within areas that are populated by younger consumers, such as college campuses. When it comes to healthy food options, there are much fewer establishments that cater to the nutritionally-conscious. I believe that many steps need to be taken to change the current direction of our youth, both short and long-term. Limiting the number of unhealthy options will be a very effective solution in the short-term and can be easily instituted. Let's provide healthy food options to the younger population and reduce fast-food restaurants.
