To put in place a maximum amount of interest that can be charged to new and existing student loan accounts.

Created by J.R. on November 14, 2012

I have been paying nearly $160 a month on my student loan for 12 years and my principal has only decreased by a few thousand dollars and I believe there should be a cap on the amount of interest that can be charged to a student loan. If people could pay off their loans faster with interest it would leave more disposable income in the hands of the working class Americans which would in turn stimulate the economy. I also would also like to overages above a fair amount of interest applied to existing student loan principal if others agree with this idea.
