Our children don't even know what patriotism is. They don't know what the flag stands for. They don't take pride in thier country like they should. If they forget then they are bound to make the same mistakes we have fought and died for. I believe that above all we should show respect to our country and our flag. Taking the pledge of allegiance out of schools is hurting our country more than it is helping our country. I grew up saying the pledge of allegiance every morning till the day i graduated high school and i salute the flag every morning with pride in my heart. I teach my kids to be proud of what thier ancestors did for them and the sacrifices others make for thier freedom. I want every child to feel the pride I do for my country. its the greatest feeling ever.
