Student loans and other financial products geared towards improving the education and skillset of the U.S. population need to be available at minimum cost. Post education debt hurts our economy by stifling spending and creates a mindset that seeking secondary education to improve ones skillset isn't worth the cost; which in turn leads to a less skilled labor pool.
It should be policy in this country that Student loans and similiar financial products utilized for the purpose of furthering someone's education and skillset should not exceed 1% over the Fed Fund Rate. This would apply to all existing Student loans as well.
