Seeing how school shootings are unacceptable and school violence has increased since prayer was removed from schools.
Seeing how our founder’s intent was to keep the government from forming a state religion like what they had in England and further realizing that the whole idea of separation of Church is not found in the U.S. constitution.
I hereby move we, in response to the increase in school violence, re-introduce the voluntary, faculty initiated, prayer that was prayed in America since its founding until 1963. "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country." It seems that when we removed prayer from schools, violence, among other negative social behaviors, has filled this vacuum.
