Many kids throughout the Unites States, especially in high school, are receiving excessive amounts of homework. Some that are in advanced classes can get anywhere from 4 to 8 hours of homework a day. This is unfair for people who do after school activities or sports. This is causing many people to lose sleep and thus become less effective in school and learning in general. It also affects our health and lifespan in the long term. We should not have to do more work at home than we have to at school as that is not the point of school. If there is simply no way to lower the amount of schoolwork, then we should try to fit more of it into the actual school day. Homework overload is a growing problem and we desperately need government regulation now. Thank you.
