put sanctions on China for invading Vietnam territory with the deployment of oil rig Haiyang 981.

Created by T.N. on May 27, 2014

China’s placement of its oil rig in Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone since May 1st 2014 has seriously violated Vietnam’s sovereignty.

China’s illegal act has run counter to the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), and agreements reached by senior leaders of Vietnam and China, threatening peace and security in the region.
