Put a stop to background checks for employment.

I feel that background checks are discriminatory against felons when searching for a job. Felons should be able to apply for any job not requiring a security clearance or a state license. Denying a felon work based on a past crime especially one that is over 5 years old is discrimination.
Not giving a felon who has successfully completed parole,probation and or prison time is like admitting the system does not work. When in fact it does for a lot of reformed felons.
I propose that background checks only be limited to sexual offenders. Persons applying for security clearance and state licensing. All felonies under 5 years be at the discretion of the potential employer.
