Housing is a fundamental necessity that property owners should not have the right to rapidly take away from those who lose a job and income. Mortgage companies who hold title to rental properties must offer payment deferment for up to 12 months, and property owners must in turn extend payment deferment to renters.It is inhumane and unnecessary to put people, children, and pets out onto the street. A law must be established to preserve the right to keep a roof over our heads during times of economic hardship.
