As gun violence becomes more barrier-breaking and prominent in our society, now is hardly the time to consider facilitating the ability for people to cause harm and mass mayhem to others.
Rep. Lavender, from Texas, is proposing just that. He suggests that those with concealed handgun licenses should not only be allowed to carry their firearms everywhere, but do so openly, hanging suggestively from their belts and shoulder holsters.
Just like not everyone who holds a driver's license deserves to, not everyone who holds a gun license deserves to. We certainly don't need to encourage or reward that bravado.
