Put a term limit on members of congress.

Created by F.M. on December 19, 2012

One of the most common laments one hears from voters is that members of Congress aren't subject to term limits.

It is unfair to the citizens of this country to have individuals in office that gain strong power over time. It is known that congress members who gain more power become more jaded and push agendas that are not for the better of this nation.

Our forefathers envisioned a country where the common man would take office, serve his term and his people, and then step down to hand it over to the next common man. Career politicians were not the goal of our forefathers and should not be that way today.

It is for the best that a constitutional convention be held to let the PEOPLE decide as the chances of congressmen doing so is slim.
