This is extremely important, because several leaders of the black lives matter movement have openly called for the shooting of police officers throughout the country. President Obama has yet to stand up and support cops around the country in the wake of all this violence against police. He constantly claims that the shooting of police officers is a result of gun violence without addressing the real issue. He also says that he wants to end the violence that has plagued our nation, yet he has not taken any steps to do so. If this movement is targeting officers now, what is stopping them from targeting white civilians? I understand the position against police brutality, but when the leaders of a movement openly call for violence against police action must be taken.
