Quarantine all travelers from Ebola-affected countries in West Africa until they are medically known to be Ebola-free.

The only way to properly screen people for Ebola is to quarantine them for at least 21 days. The present Ebola-screening measures are hopelessly inadequate. They take travelers' temperatures, ask if they have been exposed to Ebola, and visually evaluate them. Ebola's incubation period is 21 days, so someone could easily be infected and look healthy. They might later develop symptoms and infect other people once they are inside the U.S. Terrorists might try this. A doctor who had been treating Ebola returned to the U.S., and they simply let him through customs and told him to monitor his own temperature. He later developed Ebola and exposed at least four people. We cannot afford more mistakes like this. We need stronger measures. A quarantine is the only way.
