Quarantine and screen air passengers arriving from countries where Ebola outbreaks are present before allowing entry.

To date, our posture toward a possible domestic Ebola outbreak has been cavalier. We assume that our superior western medicine will protect us, and that we will be able to provide sufficient containment and treatment should an outbreak occur. But why are we waiting for this to happen? Why aren't we doing anything to formalize and standardize the screening of travelers from high risk areas? Is it reasonable to assume that all persons who are infectious will be too sick to fly? Or that they would show symptoms easily differentiated from other ailments? Or that no person with an active infection would attempt to conceal their symptoms so they could move along without being detained? Infected persons have now slipped the nets. We can't afford to miss our opportunity to protect our citizens.
