quarantine the health care workers exposed to Thomas Duncan during his hospitalization.

Created by S.R. on October 15, 2014

There are concerns that Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital did not enforce appropriate precautions during the care of Thomas Duncan. Regardless as to the truth of these allegations, Ebola has already spread to two health care workers who had direct contact with Mr. Duncan during his illness. One traveled just prior to becoming symptomatic. This close call illustrates the need for a mandatory quarantine of the health care workers who had direct contact with Mr. Duncan during his hospitalization. This quarantine should last the entire incubation period for Ebola (21 day). Ebola is a serious threat to the people of Dallas and the rest of the country. Voluntary quarantine has already proven ineffective. The US needs to enforce a mandatory quarantine of those with this direct exposure.
