We need to have quick action on sending disability checks to someone who has a terminal disease, especially if their life expectancy is short. Under the Compassionate Allowances through SS you may get your claim through quicker but it still takes months to get a first check and the person may have already died by then. So many people have nothing else to live on, especially if it is the husband that was working and can no longer do so. The White House MUST take initiative to help in these times of hopelessness and grief! We pay into Social Security all our working lives! They should help us live what time we have left as comfortably as possible and with no income, that is impossible! People who are dying need money to be able to live out the rest of their lives without worrying about how!
