The United States has issued a ban on large constrictors. We should not be forced to quit learning, keeping, and being able to own these reptiles. Since 1990 only 10 deaths had happened. Mostly due to the owner's own negligence and inexperience. Though all owners should be screened to be able to own these snakes, there should not be a ban placed on these reptiles. There are many people within the U.S who not only make livings off of these snakes but also cares for them and appreciates them for what they are. Many ignorant owners "impulse buy" these snakes which can end in disaster for the ecosystem (i.e Florida) but also the animals (death of the animals). The limit to keeping the animals should be kept to permits and licenses instead of completely stopping transportation of the reptiles.
