The age at which people should begin receiving social security benefits should be raised to 72 years old. As people begin living longer lives, the costs of social security outweigh what the government and the younger generations can provide. As the "baby boomer" generation retires, and as the government continues to dive into social security funding for use in other expenses, the funding for social security is rapidly drying up. If there is any hope to save the social security program and ensure that those who have already paid into the program receive benefits, this action must be taken into affect as soon as possible.
