Raise Awareness about Epilepsy, and create a warning system (for movies) for those who have Photosensitive Epilepsy

Created by H.B. on November 14, 2012

I am petitioning for a warning label, similar to the ones on video games to be placed on certain movies that may trigger epileptic seizures in individuals with photosensitive Epilepsy. It may not sound like something that matters , and generally to the average population it doesn't. Only 1.3 percent of the population has nut allergies, yet the U.S. labels virtually everything that may have come into contact with some sort of nut. I am asking for the same consideration for the 3-5 percent of people (with Epilepsy) in america who suffer from Photosensitive Epilepsy. This would allow for us to be able to know ahead of time if a movie or social event is safe or not, and choose accordingly.Thank you so very much for considering my petition!
