Raise Awareness About the Harmful Radiation Spreading From Japan

With radiation from the 2011 Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster spreading through the ocean, our future as a society is looking bleak. Radiation is spreading through food and water, and is already affecting our society. Ken Buesseller, senior scientist in marine chemistry at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts, says, “Given that the Fukushima nuclear power plant is on the ocean, and with leaks and runoff directly to the ocean, the impacts on the ocean will exceed those of Chernobyl, which was hundreds of miles from any sea." We cannot afford to stand by in ignorance while this radiation contaminates our country. We are so absorbed in other issues that we cannot make room for one that is futile to the survival of our society.
