Raise the Capital Loss Yearly Limit to $5,000 from $3,000 dollars.

Created by J.M. on June 10, 2016

Losing money in the stock market is no fun, but why can't you remove the lost money from your income? A deduction limit of $3,000 a year is not a lot of money if you've lost $30,000. If you don't lose any more money, it will take you 10 whole years to confront this loss within the tax framework. Some of us might not even live long enough to do it. This value should be raised, and I would like to start with a modest proposal of an increase from 3k to 5k per year.
