Many middle class families are unable to send their students to college because their annual income does not qualify them for financial aid. We petition the government to raise the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) limit from the income of $65,000, and to consider factors outside salary when granting aid.
Factors not considered on FAFSA forms include secondary school expenses, retirement funds, and debt. These factors can ultimately determine whether a family must commit to high expense loans, which can take years to pay off.
We petition the government to raise the cut-off for financial aid, granting all students equal opportunity to pay for college, regardless of economic background.
