Raise the federal gasoline tax 40-50 cents per gallon, but only if every cent is used for infrastructure improvements

Created by J.M. on February 21, 2013

Such a tax would do infintely more good than any other tax, especially for our children and grandchildren. We and our children could drive on safer highways. Electricity would be cheaper for us and them. Traffic problems would decrease and the planet would breathe a whole lot easier. Some jobs might be lost yes, but hundreds of thousands would be created as well. These things have to be done, and we wouldn't have to borrow the money from future generations. Eventually the tax could pay for a cross country high speed train.
