The Federal Minimum Wage is currently at $7.25, and it is not stabilizing out low and median income families. If an individual works a total of forty hours during the work week at minimum wage, the gross income isn't even $300. Not only has food and beverages' prices risen, but also rent in apartment communities. Gas prices are fluctuating as well. Millions of American families are stuggling, we need at least $9.50 as the Federal minimum wage. President Barack Obama had proposed a plan during his election that he would raise the minimum wage limits to $9.50 during the year of 2011. Everyday he does not raise this wage limit, families are being kicked out of their apartments, and losing their only means of transportation in order to save their homes. The American people are crying out.
