Many people in our country live in poverty even after they work a 40+ hour week at their minimum wage jobs. If the minimum wage would have been raised with inflation, the wage would be at $10.63. We have also seen some states take the initiative to raise the wage, both with Republican and Democratic governors. Give America a raise, because we know that the big business will not do it on its own.
