Raise the federal minimum wage to $11 per hour.

The federal minimum wage was last raised to $7.25 per hour in 2009, but if it had kept up with inflation, it would be $11 per hour. A raise in the federal minimum wage would benefit hundreds of thousands of American workers that currently depend on currently insufficient pay. The President's executive order in early 2014 to raise the federal minimum wage for contract workers is NOT enough. If the Minimum Wage Fairness Act does not pass in congress, another executive order is needed that would apply to all minimum wage workers.
