I'm calling on the Obama administration to raise the federal minimum wage to $11.00 an hour by 2014 with wages to increase based on inflation thereafter. Over the last several years, corporate profit has been at an all time high yet worker wages have remained stagnant.
Raising the federal minimum wage will not only help lower income families better make end meets, it will also boost the economy.
I urge this administration to fight for the workers who for too long have had to endure a rapidly rising cost of living without the appropriate compensation to offset it.
