Raise the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Created by C.N. on October 24, 2013

Raise the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The incomes required for a single person or even a family to be considered in poverty are far to low. By raising the Federal Poverty Guidelines more people who are trapped in a gap or are on the bubble of poverty would be eligible for much needed services. Poverty guidelines are used for calculating assistance from food and nutrition programs to health care. Given the rising costs of living in the US the current guidelines are estimated low and outdated.
