Raise the financial percentage worth of our dying children

Created by J.C. on March 19, 2014

Research funding for childhood cancers are 3.8% of the 5 billion dollars that is used for cancer research each year. Cancers in children may be less common than in adults but let me share some facts with you..

Many children develop secondary cancers as a results of their treatment and many of those children will die from their treatment instead of the cancer itself

The overall 80% survival rate nothing short of a lie.
The 80% is made up of patients who lived 5 or more years after being diagnosed. If a 6 year old is diagnosed with Leukemia and lives to be 11 but dies the day after the 5 year mark they are statistically a survivor.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in children. It kills more children than every other disease

Please join me in bettering treatment for our children
