Religious persecution is rising in India especially against Christians. There has been numerous attacks against churches and pastors by Hindu fanatics. Even though the Constitution guarantees freedom to follow and propagate any religion, that freedom is fast eroding under the new BJP government led by Prime Minister Mr. Modi. The perpetrators of these attacks against Christians are seldom brought to justice. People who come to Christian faith are persecuted by the local governments, denied benefits and access to social services. India is fast losing its secularism in practice and if nothing is done, will soon lose it as a matter of law as well.
