Raise Legal Adulthood to Age 21 for Foster Children and teens still in school.

A child's brain is not developed until age 21, yet we cut children out of foster care and eliminate child support for many as soon as they reach 18. This burdens families who rely on support from Social Security, state SSI, foster care or a noncustodial parent. During the ages of 18-21, teens who are supported have a greater chance of completing college or technical school and getting a stronger start in society. Having a supportive, financially stable home environment is the best way to ensure our kids are well educated and can go out into society as strong, healthy members of society.
