Raise the legal age for purchasing firearms from 18 to 21. The owner of a firearm must be evaluated on a yearly basis.

Created by V.R. on December 09, 2014

The legal age for a citizen to purchase a firearm is 18 years old. I want to change the legal age to 21 because this gives people the opportunity to mature and learn about gun control. Once they own a firearm, they must be evaluated on a yearly basis to make sure that they still have the weapon and did not hand it off to someone who is unable to purchase a firearm. The evaluation also serves as a way to make sure the people owning the firearms are properly using it and are physically and mentally able to maintain and use the firearm properly.
