Raise Minimal Wedge!

Created by E.A. on November 14, 2012

We the people would like the federal government to raise the minimal wedge. We have long suffered under the mighty arm of corporate control. We have all heard how corporations are falling due to taxes and Obama care, but the truth is middle class families don't have money so spend outside of necessities.

A break down:
7.25 X 40 (hours worked per week) = 290
290 X 52 (weeks in a year) =15,080
700 (average price of 1bd apt) X 12 = 8,400
185 (Electricity, Gas, Water, Garbage bill) X 12 = 2220
2,220 + 8,400 = 10,620
This doesn't include food. Let's said the average person spends $60 per week on food (3,120).
15,080 - 13,704 = 1,376

It is ridiculous for the someone working 40 hours a week to have 1,376 ($26.5 per week) in actual spending money.
