Medical research has found that the brain does not fully mature until around 21 years of age, for this reason it has been set that 21 is the age to legally consume alcohol. Similarly seeing that the brain has not fully matured at 18, the concept of allowing Drafting and voluntary enlisting in the armed forces at 18 seems to be a fairly ignorant ideal. Why prohibit alcohol to a non-fully mature brain, but allow for the usage of weapons to the same underdeveloped mind.
