The minimum wage is currently not a living one. I would ask the Obama administration to carefully consider slowly but steadily increasing the minimum wage to ten dollars an hour in the next six months, and then after that, again to thirteen dollars an hour. The minimum wage has been proven to help the economy since it gets people off of welfare, and encourages them to put money back into the economy when they start spending more.
