Raise the minimum wage

$7.25 an hour is simply not enough. If minimum wage in this country was adjusted for inflation it would be over $10. If it kept up with American productivity it would be $21.72. The minimum wage in this country needs to be changed. There are people that are working over 60 hours a week that are barely scraping by. They can not afford health insurance, food for their kids, and a place to live. Recent actions by McDonalds and Walmart has made it clear that they would rather have profits, not well paid employees. They would rather make massive profits and pay their CEOs an exorbitant amount of money. You cannot have an economy without a middle class. Please raise the minimum wage today!
