The minimum wage has only gone up $4.00 in the past 20 years, yet the cost of living continues to go up at a much higher rate! It is time for hard workers to make a wage that will at least allow them to afford to pay for the basic necessities in life! This will help people get off of government help while at the same time- pay in more to taxes! If wages are about equal to welfare, why bother going to work...We must make hard work pay! People will not be able to get ahead in this country if they are being kept down by poor wages. I know there must be a way to make this work and with your support we can get this to Washington to start the process of this much needed change!
