Raise the minimum wage to $10.50.

I am a RN who is over the age of 50. I have been unable to find a job in nursing because I believe companies are hiring younger nurses in order to pay them less. I continue to have a passion for nursing and am devastated I can not practice any longer. I am working in retail for $8.00 per hour and cannot make ends meet and see myself homeless. I part time as their is no full time positions where I work and bring home at the most $160.00 per week compared to making $28.50 when I was working as a nurse. It has caused me psychological problems not only due to the fact I cannot find a job in nursing but struggling to live off of $8.00 per hour.
