Raise The Minimum Wage

Created by B.S. on December 04, 2013

The time has come for action is to be taken on minimum wage. Lately minimum wage has stagnated, not increasing to match inflation. This is forcing more and more Americans to work multiple jobs just to get by and the number of people living in poverty is growing. Minimum wage should be increased to at least $9.25 an hour and Congress should work on passing this immediately. This is still not a living wage, but it would be a step forward. To curb inflation caused by a rise in prices, businesses must prove that the increased wage directly impacts the amount it costs to produce items that the price is going to be raised on, and if it is a major difference than the price change can be approved. This most likely will not be considered, but at least there can be an agreement on raising the wage
