Raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour

Created by D.E. on March 29, 2016

The United States is arguably the richest country in the world. Yet for every one out of six Americans, being able to put food on the table is a daily struggle (Hunger and Poverty Facts and Statistics). Hunger is a huge problem in America because poverty is a huge problem in America, but reducing poverty and ramping up aid programs would eliminate hunger/food insecurity for Americans. Hunger is something real and tangible that is so much easier for us to understand than some number. And so many of us, as well as Americans of every age- in fact, 15 percent of them- do understand hunger. Because more than real and tangible, going hungry is painful.
