The government needs to raise the minimum wage because people are not getting paid enough money. If there are two adults and two kids in one house hold then the estimated cost is a little bit over $75,000 a year. But with the minimum wage at what it is right now, they would only bring in about $30,000 a year which is not enough to live on. The minimum wage is too low to live off of because the prices will always be more than minimum wage unless we do something about it. The prices go up every year sometimes even every month and if the minimum wage does not go up with it then it is as if people are getting a pay cut. So, everyone should fight for the right to a higher minimum wage.
