The US has the second highest rate of child poverty. As country with a large GPA, this should not and cannot be the case any longer. By raising the minimum wage, we can give children and workers a chance to lift themselves out of poverty, no matter their socioeconomic background. By raising the minimum wage we will be able to impact hundreds of thousands of children and their chance of a better future. We need to help these people have a chance at a better life and help themselves out of poverty.
