As of now, the American Minimum Wage is only 7.25 US Dollars per hour, and as inflation increases, that will buy less and less necessities, making it so people can not pay for healthy foodstuffs, and for some, not even a mediocre apartment.
People have to choose between their home or eyesight, and work for more then 16 hours a day, and are left with barely enough to feed themselves, let alone their family.
Did these people ask for this, not at all, they have done nothing to deserve this, but yet it is still too low.
Sure, the wage may have been enough 30 years ago, but isn't now, and something needs to change.
