Raise the minimum wage in Ohio to $15.50

To decrease the amount of poverty stricken families by raising the minimum wage, and decreasing the number of those relying on public assistance. The current minimum wage still falls into poverty level, making it hard for families to survive, most which resort to public assistance, resulting in an even harder economic hardship. I believe by raising the minimum wage the demand for public assistance will drastically decrease, and cause an economic growth among consumers.
