Currently the national minimum wage is so low a person can not afford his or her own small apartment yet alone purchase a house. It is currently impossible to provide for a family on minimum wage without any source of aid. People earning minimum wage can barely afford to travel via a vehicle right now because gas prices are so high. In essence people can not afford to buy gas right now. Many people who earn minimum wage can not provide adequate nutrition for themselves right now. Give the people their basic human right to live a healthy life. Raise the Minimum Wage to allow people to pursue "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." We urge you, Government, to be for the People of this Great Nation.
