In lieu of corporate profits being at an all time high and the cost of living only going up, the American people need an adjustment to living wages. Government officials get a yearly cost of living adjustment with their salaries that are already well above that of the average working class American citizen, why shouldn't we get an adjustment as well?
With cost of living skyrocketing over the past 10 years, why haven't the American people seen a raise in minimum wage of decent proportions in over a decade? For many people, they spend a whole days wages or more simply to pay for gas just to get to work to make money and on top of that support a family!
The American people need this raise, not only to pay bills but to help support the economy and the people.
