Raise or eliminate the Income Cap on Social Security Taxes: Reduce the Social Security Tax Rate to compensate.

Created by P.D. on April 11, 2013

Currently, Social Security taxes are only collected on the first $113,700.
Raise or eliminate this cap. Lower the tax rate from 7.65% for individuals to 4%. If the cap is eliminated, include provisions to reduce the burden on the self-employed, or those working on a commissioned basis once a certain threshold is met.
This will ensure continued solvency on this income insurance program.
The trust fund also needs to be off limits as a funding source for other bugetary items.
