It has been announced that the administration, due to the overwhelming popularity of We The People, has increased the signature threshold to 100,000 from the current 25,000.
Given that so few petitions reach such a number, 50,000 would be a better compromise to reduce the number of trivial petitions making it through while still allowing those deemed truly important by the American people to come to the administration's attention.
