vehicles sold and bought in the united sates will be required to achieve a minimum EPA estimated 35 miles per gallon. This will help to make cars produced in the USA more competitive in foreign markets where American cars cannot currently be sold since they do not meet environmental requirements. In turn this will help to drive the auto industries in America towards success creating new jobs and helping the American economy.
