Raise the retirement age to 68

Created by J.R. on November 23, 2012

The age at which one begins to receive Social Security benefits needs to be pushed back in order to keep the system financially sustainable. While the SSA is extremely beneficial to our nations' seniors, people are simply passing away at ages much older than they were at Social Security's inception. This is not to say that the benefits of those who are slated to receive them in the near future should be delayed. Those who will not receive them in the near future (below a certain age) should have them pushed back, in order to give them time to save to make up the difference.
